History.
At Downing & Downing we have been trading as electrical
retailers for over 35 years, and remain a family-owned business, providing a
level of service that has kept customers loyal throughout that time. A major
part of our business over those years has been supplying and servicing Bang &
Olufsen equipment. We feel that Bang & Olufsen have a unique approach to both
technical innovation and aesthetic appeal and in that way Bang & Olufsen have
secured, in our eyes, a large dominance in our industry (refer to our Bang &
Olufsen link on the left hand side of the page for details and pictures).

We are able to supply, fit and service all
items in the above list. In addition to this our in house custom installation
team are able to fit all types of multi room audio, multi room video and Bang &
Olufsen Beolink systems to meet all customers expectations no matter how
exacting their requirements.
Town History.
We are situated right in the centre of this historic market
town. Stourbridge is world-renowned for its hand-crafted glass manufacturers
such as Stuart Crystal and Brierley Crystal, who still produce the highest
quality glassware.
The town also boasts fine continental eateries such as French Connection and
Luciano’s Italian restaurants.
Stourbridge was the birthplace of the Stourbridge Lion, one of the world’s first
steam engines, similar to Stephenson’s Rocket.
Visitors to the town can experience the glassmaking at one of the many nearby
glass museums and working glassworks, or a little further a field can go back in
time at the Black Country Museum in Dudley.
